PRCon 2012

PRCon 2012

It seems like just yesterday we were scrambling up Scarfel Pike in our last PRCON; however, an entire year had flown by and so it was time for PRCON 2012! We thus jetted off from our respective homes all round the country and met in Northampton for two days of presentations, group activities and plenty of drinking! We also had the pleasure of formally meeting the two new cogs in the Perspective Risk Information Security machine, Ash and Nav.

The presentations covered a variety of topics, including a wrap up of what we’ve achieved as a company over the past year (a lot!) and where we want to head during the next; our new internal processes; and, from a technical standpoint, database takeover using sqlmap; an overview of the rubber ducky usb; SIEM; and automating build reviews.

The activities this year consisted of go-karting and clay pigeon shooting, both of which really were great fun. Prav won the go-karting by a considerable margin (though he had raced on the track before – how convenient!) and I narrowly won the clay pigeon shooting in the last set after a neck and neck finish with Prav (though he’d probably been practising that too!).

Fin was in charge of taking pictures and he took some beauties, as you can see below:

Overall it was an excellent two days and great to have the all the team together; roll on next year’s!
